I'm actually not married to the idea of Caelus being a Trailblazer, and I've got a bit of a hankering for an AU situation where he is, in fact, not the Trailblazer. Let's suppose that Kafka chose Stelle as the Stellaron's receptacle at the beginning of the game, but Caelus was also created, just kind of... abandoned. How does your character react to him? I'm fine with playing him as a reasonably powerful Astral Express crewmember who is simply less gifted than his "sister," or as a completely normal dude with no special powers whatsoever who just kind of winds up doing dishes with Pom-Pom at home. Also open to this in the flavor of Kafka having taken him to be with the Stellaron Hunters. This is a pretty flexible situation that I'm open to remixing in a bunch of different ways, so just let me know if you'd kind of be into this and we can work something out! It's also pretty perfect for tossing him against Stelle, obviously.
This isn't really a thread idea, but I really like Caelus's clothes being really loose and sporty and I want to do something with them... For a more gen take on this, I like the idea of him seeming like a different person when he's got his hood up; it tends to make him look more serious, gritty, and cool, and I want to explore this! Maybe he wears the hood in the rain or when out doing stealthy things. (There's a particular "Stellaron Hunter Caelus" AU that's popular in fandom where he's just very evil and sexy and hangs out with mommy Kafka and he always has his hood up to differentiate himself from regular Caelus.) For a more romantic or smutty take on this, he tends to be kind of sloppy with his clothes and I think it'd be fun and kinky for your character to be turned on by it — maybe they catch him lifting his shirt to wipe his sweat, or they're taller than him and can get a peek of his chest by looking at the way his shirt hangs loose from up above, or they're around his height and can get the same view when he bends over, etc. Just silly cute stuff like that!
I am pretty fond of "take home the stray" as a general concept for AUs or anything else — basically, the trope where a normal guy lets a runaway or otherwise disenfranchised youth into his home because they don't have another place to stay. I've got a slight preference for Caelus being the stray here, given his penchant for digging through the trash, but I could work with him being the ordinary protagonist too, given that he's... uh, the ordinary protagonist. Regardless, the "stray" in our situation could be a teenager with a bad home life, a homeless vagrant, a runaway catboy, an unemployed servant, a discarded android, etc... I'm fine with remixing this general concept whichever way makes sense for our characters! But the general idea is that it'll be cute and shippy, maybe quite smutty, there'll be some conflict for them to resolve, etc.
