spending all my nights alone
Dec. 1st, 2023 12:00 aminformation. BIO A young man whose artificial body houses something known as a Stellaron, the "Cancer of all Worlds." Though a Stellaron is a type of lifeform normally characterized by a tendency to destroy civilizations, Caelus's Stellaron is stable and grants him various powers, most notably an ability to communicate with other Stellarons and resonate with different Aeons (effectively the unknowable gods of the universe). Caelus is, himself, a fairly normal guy who is sociable through text, quiet in person, and rather thoughtful, but he is afflicted with a deeply silly streak that involves cheeky jokes, cutesy stickers, and a bizarre fixation with trash cans. Aside from the Stellaron in his body, Caelus seems very ordinary, but his connection to the Aeons may or may not be deeper than he himself lets on: every now and then, he has an odd tendency to speak with authoritative confidence about things that he should not have knowledge of. He travels through the galaxy with his companions on an elegant train called the Astral Express. (Note: The Trailblazer is not a true malleable protagonist in the sense that their appearance and background cannot be customized, and the choices offered to the player are extremely limited and usually do not affect the plot. However, they are malleable in that the player can dictate their personality in most interactions: throughout the game, you generally get to pick between two to five choices that are roughly "kind-hearted and serious," "blunt and somewhat hostile," or "outright silly and ridiculous." I have found that the Star Rail fandom typically favors gremlin Stelle and straightman Caelus, with both being occasionally aggressive; I have chosen to write Caelus with the "serious" Trailblazer personality as a result. Fear not: he's still pretty silly most of the time.) APPEARANCE Dark gray hair. Golden eyes. Caelus is an attractive young man who seems to be in his early twenties. He's broad-shouldered, athletic, and tends to wear loose-fitting, sporty clothing; he tends to look somewhat thinner than you'd expect when his shirt is off as a result, but he's fairly well-built, all in all. Handsome enough that people tend to remark on it when they see him. His thighs... certainly exist. VOICE Caelus's voice tends to be masculine and deep, with a clear and youthful tone. Basically, a classic "male protagonist" voice. If you're interested in hearing his voice(s), you can listen to him in English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. His Japanese voice is my personal favorite and what I default to for vocal description, but I'm not opposed to any of the others. ic permissions. PLATONIC CONTACTHe's pretty open to this. Fairly clingy with the right people; somewhat more reserved towards those he's less familiar with. SHIPPING & SMUT I'm open to M/M shipping and smut with most castmates. Shipping with Caelus isn't really a priority for me right now, but he tends to be flirty, and he's pretty vulnerable and easy to win over, so interactions with him often take a shippy turn. I'm usually willing to lean into chemistry, but I also prefer to have a couple of gen threads first before we decide whether or not to make the boys kiss. Obviously, you'll have to check in with me before killing him, but broken bones and the like are perfectly acceptable. MINDREADING Yes, mindreading is totally fine. Just tell me if you'd like running commentary on what he'd be thinking. ooc permissions. BACKTAGGINGNo problem. I tend to drop threads whenever I think the conversation is winding down, though — always feel free to poke me into continuing a thread again if you had something planned. THREADJACKING Always cool with me. FOURTHWALLING I really don't care. OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS None in particular. I have some boundaries around Caelus and smut, but this is a non-issue right now as I'm not really jumping into smut unless we've discussed it thoroughly. PREFERRED THREADS Just to be transparent, I usually prefer tagging castmates! I only play cross-canon with canons I already know or can get the gist of very quickly, so if you hit me up for a cross-canon thread and I'm not keen on it, I'll let you know, and I promise it's nothing personal; I'm probably just not familiar with your canon. Otherwise, I'm open to anything! I will probably get more specific about this in the future, but right now I just want toss him against castmates and explore pretty much any dynamic. I'm big on Astral Express found family situations, but would also just like to give Caelus the chance to do Caelus things without his crewmates attached. My arms are open for all Stelles and even other Caeluses. I like to assume a sibling relationship in thread settings where multiple Trailblazers exist at the same time, but can run with an unrelated clone sort of thing if you prefer that. CANON POINT Not caught up with the THREE most recent Amphoreus patches. I'll catch up soon! OTHER I am generally a slow RPer, as a word of warning. While I can turn tags around in a day or two sometimes, you can more often expect me to take anywhere between 1-2 weeks for a tag. |
